Maine Adaptive Sports & Recreation

MASR Group PhotoMaine Adaptive Sports & Recreation is a year-round adaptive recreational program that teaches adaptive sports activities to people with physical disabilities. We believe that having access to and participating in recreational sports is integral to a well-rounded life for every person and we host the New England Blind / Visually Impaired ski festival week.

The foundation of MASR is our dedicated and passionate volunteers who donate their time and expertise 3300 days annually at Maine Adaptive Sports & Recreation. MASR offers winter lessons at four of Maine's finest ski resorts, including Alpine Skiing at Sugarloaf for the New England Blind and Visually Impaired Ski Festival Week.

MASR invites people who are blind or visually impaired, to be in a place where one's disability doesn't define you. For this ski festival week, we are also inviting friends and family who want to learn to guide to join us for this exciting week of skiing. Come ski, make new friends with your fellow participants, guides and the enthusiastic volunteers who are here to teach you the joys of participating in sports.
